Proud to be an American.

Very proud. More proud than I can justly put into words. I can only hope that today is the beginning of an era of change, as so many people hope it will be.

Also, I have to hope that President Obama will go along with these people and create his own tartan. I'd totally wear Obama tartan.

Watched the Inauguration at one of the pubs near my flat. It was packed, and silent while Mr. Obama spoke, punctuated with much applause and (sadly) some boos when Mr. Bush was shown. Watching an American Inauguration at a British pub was a strange, but awesome, experience. The point of Mr. Obama's speech in which he referrenced our revolution (against Britain) was hilarious for me, given my surroundings, but still very moving. He is the best speaker since JFK, I think, to hold the office of the President.

I have no pics or British vocab today; I feel singularly American right now.

God bless the USA.
