According to this study, people who have three or more tattoos are more likely to suffer from low self-esteem, and indeed, the desire to get/act of having gotten tattoos is in many cases indicative of low self-esteem.
I have five tattoos. So I guess I have low self-esteem.
(I don't actually, I'm incredibly egotistical).
Fascinating, though.
