Nerve Wracking Times in the Haunted Library

So, it's Thursday, 14 May, at 10:50am. I am, of course, in the New College Library, where I spend every Thursday morning, so that my flat can be cleaned. However, today, at 11:15am, I have my first year review boards, so in addition to being in the haunted library, I'm understandably nervous. Like, pre-concert butterflies. But I'm sure I'll be alright; I am stellar, afterall. And I just spoke to a classmate who has her boards today, too, and hers are scheduled for noon, so that's good. I mean, how much can they do to me in 45 minutes, right?

I like how in my head I'm preparing for battle, like when I used to steel myself to wrestle with a Standring, which always ended with me wheezing on the floor (thank you, James. heh).

I really enjoy being in the library and not working; I've watched the Daily Show, and the season finale of Fringe (featuring Leonard Nimoy, which was cool...I must remember to download his Hobbit song...), all while sitting two chairs down from a frantically revising undergrad. I felt bad for the poor guy, but hey, I went through it, he has to pay his dues, too, right? Consider it academic hazing. Heh.

I stopped into the kitchen to throw some stuff out before I left my flat today, and several members of the cleaning staff were there having coffee, and they told me that I 'scrub up nicely', so that's cool. And our new vocab, 'scrub up'.

I'm waiting for the 11am testing of the fire alarm. That's my starters pistol, my cue to gather my things and march unto the breech. Or, maybe war's not the right analogy, maybe fencing is better, as I'll be mentally dueling with the faculty? Who knows, eh?

Better wrap this up.
