Lesbian Vampire Killers Review

It's a movie that just came out here in the UK. It's about a pair of friends who, whilst on vacation in Norfolk, stumble across an ancient, all-female coven of vampires-who-are-lesbians (the title is ambiguous, and could mean killers of lesbian vampires, or lesbians who are vampire killers...it refers to the former). It features two stars of BBC television, and tries so very, very hard to be as clever, touching, funny and engrossing as Shaun of the Dead.

It falls far short.

The character dynamic is boring, the direction reads like a 'How to Be Edgar Wright' manual (he directed Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz), and it just wasn't funny.

But it's hard to top the brilliance of Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg.
