The Coolest Waste of Time Ever

I found this set of photos on the Telegraph website: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picturegalleries/howaboutthat/4837528/A-model-of-biblical-proportions-man-spends-30-years-creating-a-model-of-Herods-Temple.html

This is easily the coolest thing I have ever seen someone waste so much time on. Easily.

Herod's Temple, or the Second Temple, stood until 70 CE (AD, in the non-academic world), when it was destroyed by Roman forces suppressing a Jewish revolt. This was the Temple in which Jesus taught and what not. And it's a very, very awesome model.

Still having a hard time getting moving on my writing, though I've got a pretty good outline that will help immensely once I do get over the edge. And I'm also fighting the onset of a cold, so I'm not going out at all this weekend, lets I make it worse.

The pigeons outside my window are starting to sound less like pigeons and more like some sort of gremlins, the way they just rummage about. It's a bit freaky. Fortunately, I know that they're not gremlins.

For now.
